Spring Lake Village Knitting Knuts

The Spring Lake Village Knitting Knuts group was formed on June 12, 2012.

Spring Lake Village (SLV) is a senior (55 and older) condominium complex located in Southington, CT.  The knitting knuts meet monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at the SLV
clubhouse on the corner of Village Rd. in the village.

There are currently 18 members of the group.  The knitting knuts are dedicated to knitting and crocheting items to be donated to charity.  Their main project is to supply The Mill Foundation for Kids with blankets that warm the hearts of children with cancer.

In November the group also began to make lapghans for the patients of the Southington Care Center, a Convalescent Home and Rehab facility in Southington. In November and December 2012 the group donated 12 lapghans to the SCC.

In November 2012 and 2013, the group participated in the Southington Community Service holiday event donating hats, scarves, and mittens they made.
